Brooklyn Van Lines lost that license May 31, 2011 since MTA research concluded there was little need for the Group Ride service. No public notice was issued on the cancellation. Osmond still ran the route legally?/illegally? sporadically until a complaint was filed last month against Brooklyn Van Lines with the TLC on quality of service. Suleiman (the company owner) stated at that time he has not provided any B71 service since the May 31st letter. If the Brooklynink and Patch articles are true, Osmond still runs the route on weekday mornings. But with all the conflicting information, as a B71 supporter I can only go by what I've seen - a non-existant van service on my daily ride to work.

The main goal in the treatment of your child is to provide a positive dental experience. Since the dental experience can be a high anxiety-producing event, children react to anxiety differently than adults. Children can display anxiety in different ways depending on age, preconceived ideas and previous experiences. Once a child becomes apprehensive in the dental setting, it is very difficult to "talk the child out of the anxiety." Reversing a negative dental experience is much more difficult than preventing one.

The use of a mild sedative to relax the child can lower the anxiety level and, therefore, allow them to be more relaxed during the dental procedure. A relaxed child is more apt to listen and understand the explanations of the procedure given by the doctor and his assistants. In addition, less anxious children accept the normal activities and noises around the mouth associated with dental procedures. Tell-Show-Do techniques, explanation and positive reinforcement techniques are all more effective in children if the anxiety level is lowered initially. Therefore, a mild sedative can be a tremendous aid to ensure that a child has a positive experience. A common misconception is that the children are "put to sleep" in the pediatric dental office. Sedative medications are used to help relax the child but at no time is any child "put to sleep." The mild sedative medication merely relaxes the child to lower his/her anxiety levels.

I, as well, used to work in one and had to look up Huebsch Parts for top quality and a cheaper rate. They have everything to offer and so much more. I fixed my washer and dryer using their parts and it was amazing! Enjoy!

Stay away. They walked off our job after we had given them most of our money leaving $9,000 worth of work unfinished or so poorly done that we had to hire someone else to correct it. No supervision from Nick Haven, the GC. No returned phone calls; I'd only hear from them when they wanted a bill paid. Our project funds were mismanaged so badly the subs walked off the job for lack of payment. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Also avoid their new business, Vanderbilt Brownstones, Kitchens, and Baths.

Unfortunately, the BHMS parents were and are complicit in what the Board and Dane did kicking out the Little Room. They could have stopped it, or at least demanded it be handled in a way that would have given the program enough time to find a new home/sponsor so it could have continued. But I believe they were just too scared that their own kids would get kicked out. Inaction like this always comes back to haunt you in some way - perhaps when their own child is "not invited back" next year because of handwriting delays, or a speech problem, or your sister or friend has a child with a learning disability and can't find a school spot for them because all the programs were eliminated, as this one was. What goes around, comes around.

Figure 80% of them wanted to get their kids into Packer or St Ann's, and couldn't get them in, so their thin veneer of superiority os wearing thin to begin with, and lets not forget this is a VERY COMPETITIVE world out there, and hey, if I can fork over $30,000 and PRETEND I'm a nice Bkln Hgts liberal, and live in a fantasy land that Head of School Dane and that Evil Chairwoman of the Board are actually decent human beings, rather than people who lied to the Little Room Parents, and somehow justified their tossing out the LR kids, whom they had used to make it appear they were somehow following the Montessori model.. poor Old Maria M must be turning over in her grave...

Let us not forget that BHMS purchased this building the same year that they kicked out "The Little Room" (an award winning pre school program for children with disabilities) for alleged "budgetary" and "financial" reasons, not even giving the program enough time to find a new home before their expulsion. I hope that the BHMS president and board members sleep well at night knowing that their expensive and luxurious expansion was paid for by expelling disabled pre scholers. Well done BHMS! Way to teach your students diversity, tolerance, empathy and compassion.
