New Tenant at Old Five Guys.

Now, this is irony.  The space at 266 Court Street in Cobble Hill that used to be a Five Guys Burgers and Fries will soon become a fitness studio.  We saw this sign recently.  It's called Pure Barre and according their website it "is a total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs and burns fat in record-breaking time. Utilizing the ballet barre to perform small isometric movements set to fantastic music".  The Five Guys tiles are still up so it may be a little while before the transformation but this sign is a start.

Five Guys moving outside?

We were walking by Five Guys Burgers and Fries, at 266 Court St, recently and noticed a sign in the front window announcing a public hearing coming up pretty soon. The hearing will be regarding the petition for an enclosed outdoor cafe for Five Guys for the length of two years to start. We'd like to hear what you have to say about the idea of a outdoor seating area at 266 Court. If you have an opinion one way or another as to whether it would be a welcome addition to the neighborhood or a nuisance please comment. And if you're interested in attending the public hearing the info is as follows.

Wednesday, August 17th at 2pm
66 John St. 11th Floor

Five Guys on it's Way!

Five guys is almost finished! We took a peek inside 266 Court Street the other day and things were really coming along. The kitchen seemed pretty much complete and the red and white tiles on the wall that we all know and love have been installed. It's a good sized space. Pretty narrow but long with the kitchen tucked away in the back. Looks like the floor might be the last and final piece of the puzzle before we can shove some burgers in our mouth! Can't wait!

Five Guys Coming to Court

If you live in the Bococa or Red Hook areas soon there will be no need to walk all the way to Montague in order to get your fast food burger fix. At 266 Court Street the windows are covered with brown paper and there's a big sign saying that Five Guys Burgers and Fries will be moving in. A couple of years ago there was talk that Five Guys was moving to Court Street but in a different location, closer to Downtown. That talk turned out to be false. This is the real thing, however. These fresh not frozen burgers and fries are coming soon. We don't know how soon, though. Since the space at 266 used to be a medical office it may take a while to transform that into a working restaurant, but we're ready and waiting!
