New Map of Cobble Hill

Right outside of Trader Joes, which is on the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Court Street for the two people out there that don't know that, there is new sign at the edge of the sidewalk. It's a map of Cobble Hill and it's pretty big too (about the height of a person). The top half is actually a map of the area between Atlantic and Degraw and Columbia to Smith going the other way. It highlights what would be considered Cobble Hill and tells you where you are standing in all of this. The bottom half of the sign states a few facts, some history of the area and has a few pictures of landmarks around town. Makes our neighborhood feel like a real tourist attraction doesn't it? It's good to know that people must come to view the beauty that is our hood. Beauty we get to see everyday!

Cobble Hill History Walking Tour

Here's a great idea for a fun and educational (because dad always emphasized the importance of a good eduction!) thing to do on Father's Day. The Cobble Hill History Walking Tour! On June 19th from 2pm-4pm walk the streets of Cobble Hill and learn about this beautiful neighborhood's history while walking off that Father's Day brunch you just ate. It's $20 per person or $10 for Cobble Hill Association members. More details below.

Join Francis Morrone, director of the CHA Cobble Hill History Project, on a walking tour of Cobble Hill history and architecture, ranging from Jennie Jerome to the impact of the BQE to Cobble Hill's unparalleled collection of ornamental ironwork--and much, much more. The roughly two-hour walk begins at Court and Congress streets in front of St. Paul's Church. The tour will also be a chance to learn more about the History Project and opportunities to volunteer and share information.
