Us and Them Filming.

We saw this sign on Clinton Street just south of Pacific.  They'll be shooting Us & Them, a new FOX series starring Jason Ritter and Alexis Bledel along with an amazing co-starring cast, tomorrow in that area.  You can check out more about who you may expect to see if you're around that neighborhood on IMDB. The show looks pretty good.  Part comedy and part drama.  You can see a preview here.

Filming Today in our Hood.

Two huge TV shows are filming in and around the neighborhood today.  We spotted the sign above at Clinton and Baltic Streets.  It's for HBO's "Girls" and the shoot date is for today.  The sign below we saw on Court Street near Atlantic and their were more lining Court Street for blocks.  This show, "Elementary" (see below), is on CBS and stars Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu.  Shoot dates were yesterday as well as today.  The no parking is kind of a pain and not being able to walk down certain streets at certain times but can you blame everyone for wanting to shoot here?

Pan Am & Vintage Cars

Walking down Henry Street today will send you back in time. The street, specifically between Kane and Degraw, was full of vintage cars. These cars were parked there for the shooting of Pan Am, which has been shooting in the neighborhood off and on for quite a while now. The show takes place in the 1960's so I'd imagine the cars would be from that era and maybe older? In the picture above you can see a classic yellow taxi cab as well. Maybe one of the stars would be getting out of the cab because it seemed they were prepping it for more than just sitting on the curb when we walked by. It was a very cool sight to see and it looks like we'll be seeing more of that in the area the way things have been going. What can we say? We live in a picture-perfect neighborhood.

Another TV show shooting

On Degraw and Henry street in Carroll Gardens the TV show "Over/Under", which is still listed as in development, will be shooting according to this sign we saw posted. The shoot date is listed as Wednesday, tomorrow, between 6am and 11pm. We couldn't find out much info on this show on IMDB but we did find a synopsis on tv.com and it's as follows. "A day trader is fired from his job due to his serious gambling problem that has cost his company millions of dollars. He moves to a new neighborhood with his wife and finds a surprising new path that will help him rebuild his life." What the "surprising new path" is is anyone's guess but maybe if you catch them shooting a scene or two you can find out.

TV show shoot.

A good part of Cobble Hill has these signs posted for the filming of Pan Am. This is a new show for ABC set in the 1960's that follows the lives of flight attendants. We saw these around Clinton and Baltic noriginally but have seen them other places around the neighborhood as well. Maybe a car scene? The show, which is shooting tomorrow, looks pretty big budget and stars Christina Ricci and Kelli Garner. Here's a synopsis from IMDB. "Period drama about the pilots and flight attendants who once made Pan Am the most glamorous way to fly". Perhaps like when Men in Black was shooting, the streets will be filled with vintage cars and whatnot. That should be fun!

Commercial Shoot

Remember Jordache jeans? They always gave you that ultimate flat butt look that all the 80's hotties had. Well, they are actually still around and if you need some proof they'll be shooting a commercial for them in our neighborhood tomorrow and Saturday so you could go check it out for yourself. We saw the "No Parking" sign posted at Court Street and Warren. It also says on the sing post that Nigel Baker, a fashion photographer that you may know from America's Next Top Model, will be involved. So it may be a photographer shoot and not a commercial? Or maybe he's in the commercial? If anyone see their way over there in the next couple of days let us know.

Blue Bloods!

You may see some of the cast from Blue Bloods around the neighborhood. They'll be filming here tomorrow. Among the cast members are Donnie Wahlburg (I'm sure many readers know who that is and in fact at one point may have owned a Donnie pin or T-Shirt or pillowcase!). Other cast members include Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes and Tom Selleck. Blue Bloods is a crime drama, as you can see from their poster below, that revolves around a family of New York police officers. It hasn't been around too long, this is only their second season. So, walk don to Court Street in Carroll Gardens tomorrow and maybe you'll see some action!

Film Shoots

Filming at 400 Court Street last week was a project called "The Woman in the Dress". Not really sure what the project was but it's not listed on IMDB. Possibly a commercial? It was a very small crew and set though so it's more likely that it was a small indie film. The filming was taking place at the C H Plaza Dry Cleaners. It seems that this spring and summer has been a particularly busy year for film shoots in this neighborhood. Carroll Gardens especially has had a number of street closures. Two of the most notable are Men in Black and Better off Dead. Has anyone gotten the opportunity to watch any scenes while they were shooting?
