Shelsky's Smoked Fish

(Picture obtained from Shelsky's facebook page)
Here's an interesting new place that will hopefully be opening any day now, Shelsky's Smoked Fish. Owner, Peter Shelsky, also own's a company called Pete's Eats that does catering, as well as cooking lessons. The new place, opening at 251 Smith, will be "a Brooklyn nod to a traditional Lower East Side smoked fish place." Sharing an address with Oaxaca, it should be a cozy spot. What can we expect from the menu? Although Shelsky is said to be putting a spin on some of the traditional Jewish Delicatessen foods they will have all your favorites as well including "smoked salmon, house-pickled herring, house-cured herring, bagels, bialys and rugelach." Looking forward to this new arrival. It'll be great addition to Smith street!
