Farmer's Market on Pier 6.

There's a newish farmer's market, as you can see in the pics above, at Pier 6 on Sundays.  When we went last week they had picnic tables set up and it looked really nice.  One vendor sells homemade pop tarts and another has great looking breads.  There was also a table with a huge variety of pickles and a fish monger!  There were a few other tables set up but it was pretty small in general.  Delicious array of treats, though!

Hunter's Brooklyn.

Friends of ours went to Hunter's Brooklyn for brunch not too long ago, it's a new restaurant that just opened at 213 Smith Street in Carroll Gardens and their reaction?  "Pretty good!  The fish sandwich was yummy and they very sweetly put together a plate of eggs, pancakes and fruit for our son who didn't like anything on the children's menu."  With so many new restaurants opening in the neighborhood, such as Red Gravy and Krescendo which are both Italian restaurants on Atlantic with lots of buzz, it's hard to decide which ones to try.  Especially hard when there are so many delicious restaurants that we love to visit again and again.  It's good to have some inside info.  Thanks guys!

Caselnova, Now serving Brunch!

Our favorite neighborhood Trattoria, Caselnova, has just started serving brunch. The first day they opened for brunch was last Sunday. Along with some traditionals, like Eggs Benedict, they have an Italian twist on breakfast by serving things such as breakfast pizzas and Italian (instead of French) toast. All of this comes with a complimentary cocktail. Being right near our Columbia Waterfront office, the restaurant is at 215 Columbia, we order from there all the time and can vouch for the tasty food (especially the pizza, which you can see in a small photo below). They're playing Monday night football, as well, and they also have weekly specials, such as 1/2 price bottles of wine on Wednesdays. Last we looked kids ate free on Tuesdays and Mondays were 2 for 1 pizza nights. Check in with them on that as it may have changed. You can follow them here on facebook for more daily specials. So, if you haven't checked this place out yet you should. And definitely keep them on your brunch list.
